XL-1000 Superior Grade Asphalt Sealer is a fortified, rubberized, coal tar-based blacktop sealer designed to protect, beautify and extend the life of your asphalt investment. XL-1000 is rubberized and will provide a strong bond to the pavement in order to protect it from the harsh elements and increase the curb appeal of your blacktop investment.

Uses

Latexite XL-1000 is used to extend service life and reduce maintenance costs of off street bituminous pavements by protecting the pavement from the deleterious effects of fuel and motor oil spillage, along with the effects of water,
sunlight and oxidation. Coating with XL-1000® will also provide a fresh, black, easy to clean, non-skid surface that is protected against de-icing salts and freeze/thaw action.

Coverage

Smooth/Previously Sealed Driveways: 18 Ltr pail will cover approximately 35-45 m2 per coat.

Rough/Porous/Never Been Sealed: 18 Ltr pail will cover approximately 25-35 m2 per coat.

Viscosity can be altered if required by the addition of up to two litres of clean water, ensure that each pail has the same addition to guarantee uniform colour.

Application Tip

ONLY USE A SQUEEGEE IF THE SURFACE IS SMOOTH AND RELATIVELY NEW, FOR THE MAJORITY OF ROUGH DRIVEWAYS USE A TAMPICO SEALER BRUSH, IF THE SEALER IS LAID DOWN TOO THICKLY IT WILL NOT CURE PROPERLY, THIS IS A COATING AND NOT AN OVERLAY.

Apply the sealer using a squeegee in a strip of about one metre wide, and then run over the area with a masonary roller to even out the sealer and prevent pooling in low or rough spots which can cause 'mud cracks'.

Alternatively use our Tampico sealer brush for a fast even coat on rough surfaces.

Very pleased with this product it has made a tremendous difference to my driveway. It was easy to apply by sweeping brush I found it better in my case than using a squeegee. It was dry enough to walk on after 8 hours. My neighbours are now enquiring about the product. I will certainly buy again it was so easy to apply.
